Supplier Verification Checklist

Layer 1 — Legal existence

• Business registration verified against China's National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System.
• Registered business address matches the address given for the factory/office.
• Business registration is current (not expired or under any flagged status).

Layer 2 — Manufacturing capability

• Confirmed whether this is a factory or a trading company — and priced accordingly.
• Live video walkthrough of the actual production floor requested and reviewed.
• For high-value orders: third-party or in-person factory audit completed.

Layer 3 — Production capacity

• Asked directly whether they can hit your MOQ and timeline against their current order book.
• Factory size and staff count observed (video/audit) roughly matches the capacity claimed.

Layer 4 — Trade history

• Export experience confirmed — ideally including prior shipments to India specifically.
• References or prior shipment documentation requested.
• Platform trade-assurance / transaction history reviewed, where available.

Red flags — stop and reassess if any of these are true

• Insists on 100% payment upfront from a brand-new buyer.
• Refuses or repeatedly delays a video walkthrough.
• Pushes payment outside the platform on a first order, with no escrow option.
• Registration address doesn't match the factory shown in photos or video.
• Price is meaningfully below every other verified supplier, with no clear explanation.
